Craftsmanship Warranty
Scope of Warranty
Crossfield Heating and Air Conditioning (“Crossfield”) warrants that all materials and workmanship provided by Crossfield in connection with any installation performed by Crossfield at the service address listed above will be free from defects in workmanship and materials for the lifetime of the installed equipment, meaning the period during which the original equipment remains installed and operational at the original installation address, commencing on the original installation date.
This Craftsmanship Warranty is extended solely to the original purchaser of the installed equipment and is non-transferable. The warranty automatically terminates upon sale, transfer, or change of ownership of the property or equipment, regardless of whether the equipment remains in place.
This warranty applies only to materials supplied and installed by Crossfield as part of the original installation or installation-related work.
Covered Materials
Sheet Metal: Ductwork, pipe, fittings, fasteners, hangers, registers, sealants, and tape.
Vent & Drain Piping: Pipe, fittings, joints, hangers, clamps, adhesives, caulking, and tar.
Electrical: High-voltage wiring, breakers, fuses, control wiring, switches, disconnects, conduit, connectors, and wire accessories.
Refrigerant Piping: Pipe, fittings, joints, insulation, hangers, clamps, solder, brazing rods, and sealants.
Warranty Limitations and Exclusions
This warranty does not cover subsequent owners or occupants; materials, systems, or components not installed by Crossfield; or work performed outside the original installation scope. This warranty further excludes failures or damage resulting from water intrusion, flooding, fire, lightning, acts of nature, power supply issues, electrical surges, improper voltage, misuse, neglect, abuse, alteration, unauthorized repair, normal wear and tear, or corrosion not caused by defective workmanship. Equipment, parts, or components covered under separate manufacturer warranties remain subject solely to the manufacturer’s terms.
Remedy
Crossfield’s sole obligation and the original purchaser’s exclusive remedy under this warranty shall be, at Crossfield’s option, the repair or replacement of defective workmanship or materials. All covered repairs shall be performed during normal business hours. This warranty does not provide or imply emergency or after-hours service.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, and except where prohibited by New York law, Crossfield shall not be liable for incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of use, loss of comfort, loss of property, or loss of income. Crossfield shall not be responsible for delays in service due to scheduling, parts availability, weather conditions, or other circumstances beyond its reasonable control. No employee or representative of Crossfield is authorized to modify this warranty unless such modification is made in writing and signed by an authorized officer of Crossfield.
Governing Law
This warranty shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of New York. Any action arising from this warranty shall be brought exclusively in a court of competent jurisdiction within the State of New York.
